Simon studied languages and literature at school and university whilst pursuing his true passion of theatre. He quickly moved into the West End where he honed his technical skills before joining the events industry in its most extravagant years. He has combined technical and creative roles and has managed a rich variety of projects ranging from executive business meetings to large theme park installations, from the Beach Boys to the Bolshoi Ballet, Dubai to Downing Street and Hogwarts to Delhi.
Simon has worked with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to manage media requirements for G20, the Pope’s visit and the London Cyberspace Conference, organised concerts in stadia in Africa and toured senior executives around Europe and Africa to develop their market presence.
For several years he was Head of Planning & Production at the Barbican Centre in London, responsible for all the productions in the Concert Hall, cinemas and foyer spaces. He has managed a wide range of public and corporate events all around the world.
Recently he has project managed a range of virtual communications messages for local government, several large international exhibitions, a government conference in Africa and a Technology Showcase during the London Olympics.
